Introduction
If you're a direct client, see The Sidebar for Clients.
The sidebar, permanently visible on the left side of every page, is the Field Effect MDR Portal’s main navigation tool. Pages and sections related to using the MDR Portal are promoted to the top of the sidebar, and pages or sections related to administrating the MDR Portal take up the lower half of the sidebar, and separated by a divider.
As a partner, the sidebar will change depending on what the organization selector is set to. If you’re using the partner view (a bundled view of all your clients' data) some dashboards, pages, or sections will be unavailable. If the organization selector is set to a client-specific view, dashboards and other pages specific to that client will be available. To learn more, visit The Organization Selector.
This article outlines the sections and pages included in the sidebar, and
This article lists out the pages and sections available in the sidebar for partners, and how it will change depending on the organization selector’s selected view.

Using the MDR Portal – Partner and Client Views
Pages and sections above the sidebar's divider are related to using the MDR Portal on a regular basis: checking service statuses, viewing and actioning AROs, assessing cyber risk across devices, accounts, and other factors, and gaining insights through our reports.
Content will be presented and behave differently depending on the view in use by the organization selector (partner view or a specific client view). The following list everything available in the "using the MDR Portal" portion of the sidebar, and explains their behavior based on the organization selector's view:

Administering the MDR Portal
Pages and sections below the sidebar's divider are related to administering the MDR Portal: configuring features, adjusting organization settings, adding public IP addresses, enrolling cloud services for monitoring, and more.
Content will be presented and behave differently depending on the view in use by the organization selector (partner view or a specific client view). The following sections outline everything available in the "administering the MDR Portal" portion of the sidebar, and explains their behavior based on the organization selector's view:
Administering the MDR Portal: Partner View
When the organization selector is set to the partner view, the following is available in the sidebar:
- Registration (page): register a client organization for cloud monitoring.
- Administration (section):

- Integrations (page): a page showing shows available MSP integrations (ex: ConnectWise). From here, you can integrate your MSP management system(s) with Field Effect.
- User Management (page): invite team members from your (MSP/partner) organization to create a MDR Portal account. You can also manage users with access to your instance of the MDR Portal.
