Introduction
If you’re a Field Effect partner, see The Sidebar for Partners.
The sidebar, permanently visible on the left side of every page, is the Field Effect MDR Portal’s main navigation tool. Pages and sections related to using the MDR Portal are promoted to the top of the sidebar, and pages or sections related to administrating the MDR Portal take up the lower half of the sidebar, and separated by a divider.
This article outlines the elements included in the sidebar, which is divided into the two sections: primary sidebar elements (pages or sections) and secondary sidebar elements (pages or sections).

Using the MDR Portal
Pages and sections above the sidebar's divider are related to using the MDR Portal on a regular basis: checking service statuses, viewing and actioning AROs, assessing cyber risk across devices, accounts, and other factors, and gaining insights through our reports.
- Dashboard (page): a high-level view of your organization’s cyber security posture.
- Status (page): lists your organization’s service and connection statuses (Network, cloud, DNS Firewall).
- AROs (page): view your organization’s AROs in a bundled chart.
- Cyber Risk: view your organization's Risk Score, devices, and account details to assess potential areas of risk.
- Insights (section): a section containing the following pages:
- My Network: summarizes network traffic and security events, as well as provides a section to download past weekly and monthly reports.
- Cloud Monitoring: monitors login activity (time and location) for cloud accounts, lists most targeted accounts, and provides a section to download past weekly and monthly reports.
- DNS Firewall: summarizes all requests and blocks by the DNS Firewall (based on content and security), sorts top block blocked requests, and lists blocked domains (by security or content).
- Risk Score: a dashboard with monthly reports that report on three risk factors: Software, Operating System, and Configuration risk.
- SEAS: tracks email submissions sent to the Suspicious Email Analysis Service (SEAS).
- Reports: lists all monthly and weekly reports in a page with a design similar to the AROs page.
Administering the MDR Portal
The following elements are listed below the main sidebar elements:
- Installers (page): download endpoint agents specific to your organization.
