Is Field Effect a SIEM?

Field Effect is not considered a SIEM but can be classified as a Managed Detection & Response (MDR) solution. In terms of actual cyber security outcomes, Field Effect is confident that Field Effect is superior to a SIEM in terms of what it provides most clients in a cyber security perspective. The richness of data provided by the endpoint agent, full capture network sensor, and cloud-native security monitoring provides exceptional cyber situational awareness that exceeds what can be provided by conventional logs. 

Field Effect, when fully deployed, can leverage network, endpoint, and cloud telemetry – and because of this rich telemetry, obtained directly from Field Effect purpose-built sensors, our clients do not require a SIEM.
