What Are the Different Portals Used For?

Field Effect Portal

Best For: Security monitoring, risk management, and day-to-day platform administration.


The Field Effect Portal is the primary management interface for organizations using Field Effect's cybersecurity services.

Use the portal to:

  • Monitor your organization's cybersecurity posture
  • Review Alerts, Risks, and Observations (AROs)
  • Investigate security events
  • View reporting and dashboard information
  • Manage users and permissions
  • Access security recommendations and remediation guidance


Most customers will spend the majority of their time in the Field Effect Portal.


Vision Portal (Partners and MSPs)

Best For: MSPs, partners, and organizations managing multiple customer environments.


Vision is a partner-centric interface designed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Field Effect partners who manage multiple customer environments.


Use the Vision Portal to:

  • View and manage multiple customer organizations from a single interface
  • Perform actions against vulnerable or compromised devices and accounts. 
  • Monitor customer security posture across tenants
  • Access customer dashboards and reports
  • Manage deployments and service delivery activities
  • Streamline operational oversight for multiple customers


The Vision Portal provides a higher-level view that helps partners efficiently manage and support their customers, while providing the ability to drill into a connected-client level view and investigate deeper.


Help Center (All Users)

Best For: Self-service support, product learning, and troubleshooting.


The Support Portal provides access to Field Effect's documentation, knowledge base articles, and support resources.


Use the Support Portal to:

  • Search product documentation
  • View deployment and configuration guides
  • Access troubleshooting information
  • Find answers to common questions
  • Learn about platform features and best practices


The Support Portal is available to help users become more familiar with Field Effect products and services.


Customer Support Requests

Best for: Receiving direct assistance from Field Effect Support.

When you need assistance from the Field Effect Support team, you can submit a support request through the support process referenced throughout the Help Center.
