Introduction

This article walks through the process of looking up a domain to find its DNS categorization using our recommended tool, Virus Total. 

Procedure

Begin by navigating to VirusTotal - Home (https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/url). With the toolbar set to URL, copy the address into the search bar and press Enter.

You will be presented with the DNS results for the domain. Using Google as an example, it has not been flagged by any security vendors and can be considered safe.
