The Supplemental Data Page - Overview

Introduction

For Partners: the Insights section is only visible in the sidebar when the organization selector is set to a specific client view.

When Field Effect MDR reports an issue affecting your organization's system, software, or user accounts, we often look to include additional information where appropriate. Some Recommendation type AROs, for instance, will include a CSV attachment enumerating the impacted systems. This additional information represents a snapshot at the time the ARO was generated. The Supplemental Data view in the MDR Portal provides a mechanism to share this type of data, but in a way that can be updated regularly.

The Supplemental Data page, accessible from the sidebar's Insights section, allows you to access some of this information in real-time via a table that can be updated. This allows us to share dynamic data efficiently, and outside the context of an ARO.

You can expect to see more tables included here as we develop new ones over time. The image below shows an example of a Supplemental Data page listing an available table.

ARO Suppression and Data Tables

Some vulnerable software AROs have dismiss options that will stop the creation of new AROs for a given issue. When this is the case, vulnerable software will only be reported via a supplemental data table.

If you would prefer to only receive this information via data table, you may do so by making a request to suppress these AROs by contacting support@fieldeffect.com. The following AROs support such dismiss options:

Supplementary data tables are not available via PSA solutions, so clients and partners using PSAs will need to log into the MDR Portal to check on these issues and directly access the related Supplementary Data Tables.

Drilling Into Supplemental Data

Clicking on a table from (shown above) will open it, and the headers will vary depending on the type of supplemental data being presented. As we release more tables, headers will vary across datasets. In the example below, the user is viewing a supplemental data for vulnerable software.
