Create an OAuth API Endpoint

Click New in the upper right corner to add the new application for Field Effect MDR to the Application Registry.

You will be asked what type of application to make. Select Create an OAuth API endpoint for external clients.

Fill out the following for the new API endpoint:
- Give your API Endpoint a Name (Field Effect MDR).
- Set the Redirect URL to the following link https://ionic.fieldeffect.net/servicenow/callback/
When ready, click Submit.
Your new application will now be listed in the registry. Click on it to see more details.

Save the following pieces of information about your new application and ServiceNow instance, as you will need them in the next procedure:
- Client ID: Found on the New API endpoint form
- Client Secret: Found on the New API endpoint form.
- Host Name: If you don’t know the hostname, it can be found in the address bar on this page (ie: your-organization.service-now.com).

Complete the Integration in the MDR Portal
Note for Partners: This procedure is performed on a per-client basis. Ensure that the Organization Selector is set to the appropriate client before continuing.
From the Integrations page's (Administration section) Cloud Monitoring tab, click Add in the Service Now card.

A window will open providing you with the instructions for the procedure above (Creating an API Endpoint). Complete the procedure and click Next.

Provide the Hostname, Client ID, and Client Secret in the next window and click Submit.

You’ll be redirected to a new page asking to connect your ServiceNow account with Field Effect. Click Allow to continue.

You'll be taken back to the integrations page, and the integration card will show that the integration is connected and promoted to the top, alongside any other connected integrations.
