- Field Effect as primary antivirus: Defender is removed as the primary antivirus in Windows Security Center. If Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is installed, Defender Antivirus runs in passive mode. If it isn't installed, Defender Antivirus is turned off. Either way, Field Effect NGAV works the same.
- Defender as primary antivirus: Field Effect MDR runs alongside Defender and notifies you of malicious threats.
