Partners installing the endpoint agent should use the license.key associated with the client they want the endpoint to appear under in the Field Effect MDR portal.
If for any reason you install an endpoint using the wrong client installation package, use the wrong license.key file during installation, or elect to move the endpoint to a different client at a later date, the only remedy for swapping between clients is to uninstall and reinstall the endpoint agent.
The license.key not only defines which client the endpoint is listed under in the Field Effect MDR portal, but also digitally signs the agent installation associating that endpoint with a particular client.
There is no quick or easy method of swapping a license.key through the editing of a config file, its permissions, or an entry in a registry. You must uninstall the agent and reinstall it with the correct license.key file for the intended client.
