Do Field Effect logs go through an analytic process?

Yes. 

In the case of Field Effect native sensors, this happens automatically and may occur directly as the data is obtained (at the source). Analysis may also occur on the network appliance. For logs sent from third party sources (syslog), a custom analytic must be developed to parse and assess events.
